A little more about me…

I’ve loved the outdoors my whole life.

I was lucky enough to have parents that took my brothers and I camping in the Canadian provincial parks. I spent most of my childhood playing outside. My favourite entertainment was exploring the outdoors, organizing creek cleanups, foraging with my mom who has a wealth of plant knowledge and making mud pies (of course). I didn’t sit in front of a TV like the other kids. With that came a deep connection to the natural world and my obsession with plants and animals.

When I first visited California in 2014, I ventured out on a campervan trip up and down the coast but it wasn’t until I ventured inland to the high desert in Joshua Tree that I truly fell in love. I told myself, I’m going to live in California one day so I can do this all the time.

I’ve had a camera in my hand since I was about 14, capturing the world around me through film photography. Traveling and exploring the outdoors have been central to my life, and documenting those experiences has become one of my longest-standing creative outlets. My work is rooted in storytelling, finding beauty and narrative in the landscapes, adventures, and moments that inspire me most.

Being fairly new to California, I’m excited to find a like-minded community to learn from, share with, and do meaningful work together.
